Reports allege that the woman’s husband then bolted from the scene and made his way to the King Shaka International Airport in a bid to flee from his crime. He was discovered at the airport at which point the man then threatened to kill himself in view of all present.
Police and emergency workers on the scene were able to negotiate with the husband and apprehend him, before taking him away.
Police spokesman, Major Thulani Zwane confirmed the incident. “We can confirm an incident that occurred today at about 10am. A 38-year-old female was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband in a hotel in Meridian Drive, Umhlanga.
