NATIONAL NEWS - Van Breda is accused of killing his parents and older brother, and for attacking his sister in 2015.
He has been asked repeatedly by his defence counsel to speak louder.
Van Breda has described his family as very close, saying they shared everything with each other.
"We were a very close family. We shared everything with each other. We enjoyed spending time together as a family, especially around that time of the year."
He says on the Sunday before the deadly attack in January 2015, the whole family had gone shark cage diving.
He says on the night of 26 January 2015, everything was normal in their home.
