Tutu still in hospital, remains in high spirits

NATIONAL NEWS - Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu’s family said he remains in high spirits as he continues to receive treatment for a persistent infection.

Tutu was admitted to a Cape Town hospital this week.

His daughter Reverend Mpho Tutu, said her father's hospitalisation is not linked to his prostate cancer, which doctors are satisfied remains dormant.

She said her father, who is 83-years-old, will have to scale down on public appearances.

“Because his doctors are quite confident that they will be able to land on treatment for the infection, my anxiety levels are quite low. My mother gets anxious because she’s his wife, it’s different.”
