Elizabeth Ann, 19, of Chatsworth, a student teacher at Crossmead Primary School and four others were travelling in a Golf 1 car when the incident occurred. Their car was allegedly rammed into by an oncoming car which is believed to have shot a red robot.
Father of the deceased, Eddie Reddy said, “Elizabeth and her friends were going to visit an acquaintance. At the moment, the details are sketchy, but all I know is that a car apparently shot a red robot and slammed into the Golf. Ann was rushed to Umhlanga Hospital where she survived the incident for a few hours, before she succumbed to her injuries. The others are still in hospital and some are in a critical stage.”
