Suspects on Hawks' most wanted list

GEORGE NEWS - The George Organised Crime Unit of the Directorate of Priority Crime Investigations, the Hawks, has appealed to the George community to assist them in tracing the following wanted suspects and accused for whom warrants of arrest have been issued due to their failure to appear in court for various offences committed in the past.

Warrant Officer Neville Olckers is urgently looking for 41-year-old Tsiri Emmanuel Tshoko who was arrested in Beaufort West for dealing in dagga and Mandrax during November 2008 when he was caught with dagga and Mandrax to an estimated value of R675 000. He was charged and appeared in the Beaufort West Magistrate's Court, but failed to reappear after he was granted bail. A warrant was issued for his arrest on 29 August and attempts to trace him have been unsuccessful. His last known address was NY 146 no. 46 Gugulethu, Cape Town.

A warrant for arrest was also issued for Zolisa Payi earlier this year after he was arrested for being in possession of a stolen Super 16 Toyota minibus that belonged to the SA Navy.

His last known address was 42 Makhaza, Khayelitsha, and Everest Block no.1, Bellville. He worked as a taxi driver from the Mfuleni taxi rank. Anyone who may know the whereabouts of the suspect is requested to call Olckers on 044 802 1600, 071 3517 450 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.

Warrant Officer Leon Mortlock is urgently looking for Innocent Ahikira, alias Joseph, who was arrested for dealing in cocaine during a sting operation held on 19 June 2008. He failed to appear in court on numerous occasions. Attempts to trace the accused since then have been unsuccessful.

Mortlock is also looking for 44-year-old Zubenam Elliot Mbukuqwa who previously stayed at 825 Sanxga Street, Browns Farm, Philippi, as well as 33-year-old Mandisi Mbedla, from 6230 Jeff Masimule Street, Browns Farm, Philippi. Both men were arrested for the possession of almost R500 000 worth of dagga on the R61 near Beaufort West during April 2012. They failed to appear in the Beaufort West Magistrate's Court.

Warrant Officer André Kuhn is urgently looking for Siza Bhomba (28) who was arrested in Thembalethu during December 2009 for attempted murder, rape, robbery and assault charges after an attack on an elderly lady in George. Bhomba was charged and brought before court, but failed to reappear after the court granted him bail. His last address was 4375 Zone 8, Thembalethu. He previously worked on a farm in the Geelhoutboom as a season worker.
