Mineworker killed in accident at Lonmin
Lonmin.
NATIONAL NEWS - A mineworker has been killed in an accident at Lonmin’s platinum mine in the North West.

Preliminary investigations indicate he drilled into a misfired hole at the K3 shaft on Friday.

Two others were injured and the area has been closed off while investigations continue.

Lonmin's Wendy Tlou says they are supporting his family.

“We are offering the support as per the company policy. We are making sure their benefits are given and assisting with funeral arrangements, like making sure the body arrives in the Eastern Cape.”
