NATIONAL NEWS - Police have confirmed the arrest of a 46-year-old man in connection with last month’s mass shooting in Lusikisiki, Eastern Cape.
This arrest brings the total number of arrests for the incident to seven.
The shooting claimed 18 lives and took place at two neighbouring homesteads in Ngobozana village.
Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Siphokazi Mawisa says the suspect is expected to appear in the Lusikisiki Magistrate’s Court today.
“The 46-year-old suspect has been charged with 18 counts of murder in connection with the Lusikisiki mass shooting,” Mawisa states.
