Gauteng ANC calls for Molefe to leave Eskom

NATIONAL NEWS - The Gauteng African National Congress (ANC) says it agrees with the national leadership’s decision to demand Brian Molefe’s removal as Eskom CEO.

Molefe returned to Megawatt Park last week after Eskom’s board claimed that his resignation last year was an early retirement.

Molefe stepped down following the Public Protector’s State of Capture report which showed he had been in regular contact with the Gupta family while they were trying to buy a mine that supplied Eskom with coal.

The Gauteng ANC’s provincial secretary Hope Papo says Molefe must leave Megawatt Park.
