Flabba's killer expected to be sentenced today

NATIONAL NEWS - Sentencing procedures against the girlfriend of slain rapper Nkululeko 'Flabba' Habedi are expected to begin in the High Court sitting in Palm Ridge this morning.

Sindisiwe Manqele was found guilty of killing Habedi in December last year.

Today marks exactly a year since Habedi was found dead in his bedroom at his Alexandra home.

She testified that she stabbed her rapper boyfriend in self defence, but the presiding judge dismissed her version of events, saying the amount of force she used to plunge a steak knife into his chest, showed intent to kill.

His younger brother Tshepang Habedi, said it’s been a difficult 12 months.
