Police said the 27-year-old man was was arrested “for possession of cocaine with estimated street value of R500,000 on Monday afternoon”.
The suspect had earlier arrived on an International flight before his luggage was searched.
Western Cape Police said: “Management is pleased with the arrests of drug mules in the past few days and commend members in their efforts to fight drug trafficking.”
The suspect will appear in the Bellville court on Wednesday.
On Monday a 32-year-old South African woman was arrested at OR Tambo International Airport shortly after arriving from Dubai.
She had cocaine in her luggage to the value of R1.5 million
