Couple handed hefty sentences for Montecasino murder

NATIONAL NEWS - A couple convicted for the murder of a Johannesburg man, whose body was found in the boot of his car at Montecasino, have been handed lengthy sentences in the High Court sitting in Palm Ridge.

Jean Pierre Malan has been sentenced to life in prison while stripper Maruschka Robinson will spend a total of 29 years behind bars for drugging and killing Dustan Blom in 2013.

The couple had been stealing money from him and after he was killed they went on a shopping spree with his credit cards.

Malan only recently admitted to killing Blom after initially pleading not guilty.
