Brazilian automotive artist Kleber Silva has however hinted at what a Cross version of the new Polo could look like, albeit now under the Alltrack designation as with the Caddy and the station wagon Golf Alltrack sold in Europe and North America.
Based on the European spec Polo, the Alltrack gains a satin silver skidplate both front and rear, wheel arch extensions, silver door sills, dual exhaust outlets, a silver wing above the lower front air intake, darkened headlights and Alltrack badging on the bootlid and on the front wings. Unlike the CrossPolo, the Alltrack loses out on the chunky roof rails fitted.
Already on sale in Europe, Australia and South America, the Polo is expected to arrive on local shores early next year, although it remains to be seen whether a CrossPolo / Alltrack derivate will become available at some stage.
