Replacing the Dynamique at the sharp end of the Stepway range, the simply titled Plus remains mostly unchanged aesthetically, aside from new two-tone 16-inch flex wheel covers, Plus badging and two new colours; Dune Beige and Cosmos Blue.
While spec level is carried over from the Dynamique, the seven-inch MediaNav infotainment system now serves as a display for the new reverse camera. Options include leather seats (R10 000) and metallic paint (R2 500).
Renault has made no alternations to the Sandero’s powerunit though, with the 898 cc three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine again making 66kW/135Nm, linked to a five-speed manual gearbox. Fuel consumption is a claimed 5.2-litres/100km and emissions 119 g/km for the regular Expression, with the Stepway rated at 5.4-litres/100km and 124 g/km respectively.
Standard on all models are a five year/100 000km warranty and two year/30 000km service plan.
