Closely following the SR Turbo that premiered in September, the Nismo ups the go-faster persona further with more aggressive front and rear bumpers boasting red accents, faux rear diffuser, black mirrors and lip spoiler, recalibrated brakes and steering, and Nismo 18-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the sporty touches consist of sport seats trimmed in faux suede with red stitching, carbon fibre inserts and a imitation suede finished sports steering wheel. Up front, the Nismo retains the SR Turbo's 1.6-litre turbocharged engine that also powers the Juke, with power being rated at 140 kW and torque at 240 N.m. A six-speed manual is standard with a CVT being optional.
Unlikely for local release, sales of the Nismo is expected to start in January next year with pricing from $25 000 (R357 543).
