First spied back in July lapping the Nürburgring, Benz’s sportier take on the regular A-class sedan adopts a coupe-like profile similar to the CLS and to its predecessor, with a front facia mirroring that of the hatch and the same rear-end as model positioned below the S-class, albeit with an apparently stubbier boot section.
In spite of not having let go of all of its black-and-white wrapping, the images taken by motor1.com likely highlights the production model given the complete lack of faux body panels, while the additions of a panoramic roof, dual five-spoke alloy wheels, twin integrated exhausts and a subtle boot spoiler points to be model in question perhaps being the sporty AMG-Line variant.
Carried over from the hatch and sedan is the interior, which boasts the same MBUX infotainment system, dual 10.25-inch screens and turbine-style air vents, while up front, the CLA will feature the same range of turbo-petrol and turbodiesel motors sourced from the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance, in addition to the already spotted AMG A35 and A45 examples.
Like the recently snapped CLA Shooting Brake, itself continuing for a second generation, the sedan will make its world debut sometime in 2019.
