Slotting-in below the 250 kW supercharged V6, the new blown-four F-Type sports the same 2.0-litre Ingenium engine as the XE and F-Pace, but re-tuned to produce 221 kW and 400 Nm of torque. Linked to the familiar ZF-sourced eight-speed automatic gearbox and tipping the scales at 52 kg less than the V6, Jaguar claims the F-Type will sprint from 0-100 km/h in 5.7 seconds, and hit the electronic buffers at 250 km/h.
Featuring a revised exhaust Jaguar claims helps the F-Type retain its signature noise, the newcomer comes fitted as standard with six-way electric sport seats and InControl Touch infotainment system with Navigation Pro, while the optional R-Dynamic pack adds 19-inch alloy wheels, full LED headlights and revised bumpers.
Pricing starts at R953 400 for the Coupe and R971 000 for the Convertible, while the R-Dynamic retails for R1 034 900 and R1 052 500 respectively.
