Wait…what is Last Lion Lifestyle?
In February 2015 supercar owner, Ish Kaskar, organized an event with a handful of supercar owners wanting to go for a drive to the Franschoek Motor Museum. A month later they had their second event with double the turnout. This led to the formation of the Last Lion Lifestyle breakfast run and events club.
Founding member, Mr Kaskar, says his database of enthusiasts includes approximately 160 supercar owners within the Western Cape, and they generally average a turnout of 70 supercars per event. While participation is free, access to the post-run activities, including brunch, is by invitation only. “We have formed alliances and are endorsed by the top brands in the automotive and aspirational lifestyle space - Lamborghini, Red Bull, Dunlop and Marlboro, to name a few,” said Kaskar.
For a good cause
These events have a bit of a philanthropic motivation as the group is formalizing a partnership with the City of Cape Town to create an Internship Programme, which will be launched in 2016. The programme has not only been well received on a local scale, but on a global scale. Autogespot Global has come on board for the CSI initiative in 2016 and will be taking the model globally. As such, the Last Lion Lifestyle crew will be travelling to Hermanus with the Councillor for the Overstrand region to continue reaching out and inspiring youth to follow their dreams.
