The South African Guild of Motoring Journalists (SAGMJ) has released the list of vehicles that will become eligible for the 2019 South African Car of the Year title.
Following a number of criticism earlier this year after Porsche were award the title for a fourth year, the 2019 edition will be first to incorporate consumer voting, which will be taken into the final voting process before the winner is announced in March next year.
“The consumer ultimately votes with their wallets; their involvement and choice is an important addition to the competition,” SAGMJ Chairman, Rubin Van Niekerk, said in a statement.
