Pictured by Britain’s Autocar, the DBS Superleggra Volante in question only sports a matte finish at the rear similar to the prototype snapped in August, with the rest being full production spec including the wire-like alloy wheels and red brake calipers.
Based on a previous report, the Volante will tip the scale at between 100-120kg more than the coupe to make up for the fitment of the cloth roof, which will result in slower 0-100km/h time compared to the coupe’s 3.7 seconds, and a top speed lowered from the fixed-roof’s 339km/h. Unchanged though will be the interior and the 533kW/900Nm 5.2-litre AMG sourced twin-turbocharged V12, teamed to a ZF-sourced eight-speed automatic gearbox.
According to the publication, the Volante will make its official world debut next year with pricing from around £250 000 (R4 697 415).
