Posted by Bimmerfile, which have subsequently been removed, the leaks all but confirms the single teaser image released earlier this week, in that the Z4 adopts a much more sleeker and aggressive appearance with the front taking inspiration from the 8-series concept.
Boasting wider kidney grilles, sweptback 8-series inspired headlights, a deep front air intake and five-spoke 20-inch alloy wheels completely filling the wheel arches, the Z4 also gets twin silver buttresses at the rear, wraparound LED taillights, dual chrome tipped exhausts and a carbon fibre diffuser.
The interior is a departure from the previous Z4 and indeed any current BMM, in that is features a new tiered iDrive infotainment display, mostly digital climate control switches, prominent red shift paddles, a nifty display at the base of the steering wheel, digital instrument cluster, new iDrive controller, brand new centre console and redesigned gear lever. It however remains to be seen which details are carried through to the production Z4.
No technical details have yet been revealed, but expect a range of four and six-cylinder turbocharged engines ranging from 2.0 to 3.0-litres, mated to a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic gearbox.
