Set to replace the recently axed 6-series Coupe, the rejuvenated Eight will debut in study form at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Esteon the banks of Lake Como on May 26th, and according to reports, make use of the same CLAR underpinnings as the 5 and 7-series.
No powertrain details have yet been revealed, although the 8-series' reported positioning as a rival to the Mercedes-Benz S-class Coupe could see it using the same engines as the 7-series, with BMW so far remaining mum on the rumoured M8 despite the filing of a trademark application some two months ago.
