A3
Signalling the final batch of limited run models before the next generation A3 arrives later this year, the Comfort Edition serves as, according to Audi, as the model that places emphasis on value-for-money with added features being made up of partial leather upholstery, 17-inch alloy wheels, front and rear parking sensors, a black roofliner and LED headlights.
Based on the entry-level 30 TFSI only, power for the Comfort comes from a 1.0 TFSI that develops 85 kW and 200 N.m of torque, which is connected solely to a seven-speed S tronic gearbox with drive going to the front wheels only.
With the A3 line-up now consisting of the five-door Sportback and four-door sedan only with the cabriolet having being discontinued, the Black Edition comes as the final special edition with unique touches consisting of the S line bodykit, gloss black trim on the grille, diffuser, front bumper and around the windows, gloss black mirror caps, 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, a black roofliner and partial leather upholstery.
Unlike the Comfort, the Black swaps the 1.0 TFSI three-cylinder for either a 1.4 TFSI in models carrying the 35 designation or a 2.0 TFSI in 40 badged models, with the former producing 110 kW and 250 N.m of torque, while the latter punches out 140 kW and 320 N.m. Regardless of the engine, the aforementioned S tronic ‘box is the sole option with drive again being send to the front wheels.
Aside from the axed cabriolet, the S3 remains as is with the 2.0 TFSI motor continuing to make 228 kW and 400 N.m, teamed to the seven-speed S tronic ‘box, albeit with quattro all-wheel-drive.

Q2
On sale since 2017 as Ingolstadt’s smallest crossover, the Q2’s range of tweaks includes standard LED headlights, a 180-watt sound system, rear parking sensors and so-called ‘deluxe’ automatic air-conditioning, while the 1.4 TFSI that develops 110 kW and 250 N.m in 35 models can now be had in base trim spec having been previously limited to the flagship Sport. The previously offered six-speed manual gearbox as well as all TDI models have been dropped.
Like the A3, the Q2 also benefits from a special Black Edition based on the 30 and 35 TFSI variants that comes with black Rotor 19-inch alloy wheels, gloss black mirror caps, a gloss black finish for the C-pillar blade, gloss black detailing on the grille, front bumper, diffuser and around windows, a black roofliner and the multi-mode Audi Drive Select system.

Q5
Receiving the lion’s share of revisions, the Q5 not only joins the A3 and Q2 in benefitting from the Black Edition treatment, but also an off-road appearance derivative that comes with 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, Selenite Silver front and rear bumper underbody and Stone Grey Metallic wheel arches and door sills. The aforementioned Black meanwhile adds 20-inch alloys, the S line bodykit and high gloss detailing on the grille, diffuser, front bumper, mirrors and roof rails.
With the range now being made-up of nine models as opposed to the previous six, engines for the Q5 are made up of a 2.0 TDI in 40 designated versions that produces 140 kW and 400 N.m, and a 2.0 TFSI in models carrying the 45 nomenclature that makes 185 kW and 370 N.m. Joining the range is the SQ5 that forgoes the 3.0 TDI engine offered in Europe for the carryover 3.0 TFSI that makes 260 kW and 500 N.m.
While the seven-speed S tronic is standard fare on the 40 and 45 models, the SQ5 swaps this for an eight-speed Tiptronic with Quattro all-wheel-drive offered across the range.
