GEORGE NEWS - The Southern Cape Old Car Club is proud to host the 17th George Old Car Show on 9 and 10 February.

For the third consecutive year, the Midas Group has come on board as the name-giving sponsor and the show will once again be known as the Midas George Old Car Show.

The main focus for the 2013 show is yet again the old cars that come from all over South Africa to visit this prestigious annual get-together. A special exhibition is also being planned for Two-stroke engines. Once again the public and all exhibitors are invited to take part in the fancy dress competition hosted on Saturday 9 February - and don't forget about the model cars, as they may also have a surprise or two up their sleeve.

All old car exhibitors should take note that pre-registration of vehicles are required before or on 20 January as no late entries to this event will be accepted at the gates. Vehicles younger than 1975 should also pre-register as they will need special approval to be exhibited at the show. The Protea Hotels Classic Car Auction has become a highlight at the show and is not to be missed. In 2013, even more excitement can be expected as the auction now brings in a new partner - the House of Classic & Sports Cars CC. The auction will again be held on Saturday 9 February at 13:00.
