GEORGE NEWS - Youth Day at Odin in Blanco was a huge success as young people arrived in droves, peacefully and with a clear intent to make a positive contribution to our communities and future.
The event highlighted the enthusiasm and commitment of the youth towards creating a better society.
Odin's Colleen Smith gave a special thanks to the ACVV for giving the Pathfinders from Pacaltsdorp and Rosemoor the opportunity to experience a day at Odin.
"We extend our gratitude to Michelle van Niekerk for sourcing little gifts for all the children, adding a delightful touch to the day," she said.
Three learners were identified to spend time during their school holidays on a learnership programme. Odin will be sharing insights on the importance of community work, particularly in relation to animal welfare, with these dedicated students.
"We would appreciate contributions towards their bus fare of R32 per day for 12 days and also towards lunch pack and gumboots," said Smith.
