GEORGE NEWS - Two employees of Watsons Butchery were robbed of a substantial amount of cash at gunpoint at the butchery in George South on Tuesday night, 9 October.
According to George police communications officer Sgt Michael Opperman, the two men arrived at the premises in a truck.
They got out and were on their way to put a money bag containing the cash into a drop safe when five armed black men accosted them and demanded the money.
They also took a cellphone and drop safe keys before fleeing on foot. The incident happened at 20:45. Nobody was injured.
