GEORGE NEWS - A dog found wandering in Whites Road in Wilderness on Thursday night is currently at the George SPCA.
It was found by an American visitor, Shoshana Coleman.
"It is a female mixed breed. The SPCA this morning during operating hours confirmed that the dog was still there.
"They said she does not have a microchip, but is spayed.
"We found her at about 19:30 on Thursday evening. She almost ran into our car on the road. She is friendly and must definitely have an owner who cares for her. She is definitely not a stray."
The SPCA's staff member on duty for weekend emergencies said should the owner wish to collect their dog over the weekend, it could be arranged.
The owner can contact the SPCA on 044 878 1990 or Coleman via WhatsApp on +1 (617) 694 6238 or call her on 066 088 8528.
