GEORGE NEWS AND VIDEO - Access into George CBD from the N2 past the Garden Route Mall is now open.
This follows the closure of the N2 between the mall and Pacaltsdorp early this morning due to rioting in Thembalethu.
The N2 is, however, still closed further along.
Motorists travelling past George will have to divert via CBD to get back onto the N2 after the Pacaltsdorp Bridge.
GO GEORGE UPDATE
Industrial routes 9 and 14 have been reinstated.
Route 12 (Pacaltsdorp - Garden Route Mall) is still running via York and Courtenay Streets due to the closure of the N2.
Unfortunately, Routes 3 Blanco Community, 13 City Loop, 61 Pacaltsdorp Community via Syferfontein and 58 Heather Park are still not being serviced at the moment due to the shortage of drivers who cannot get to work from Thembalethu.
GO GEORGE is doing its best to get all routes back to normal as soon as possible and will keep the public updated.
