Update
GEORGE NEWS - Dr Delene Brink, microbiologist of Pathcare George, confirmed that no Covid-19 cases have to date, 15 March, been reported in the Southern Cape.
Western Cape Education Department spokesperson Bronagh Hammond also confirmed that the department has been informed by the Department of Health that the mother of a pupil of Holy Cross Pre-Primary tested negative for the novel coronavirus.
The school yesterday withdrew learners from a sport event after the mother had informed the school that she was being tested.
