GEORGE NEWS & VIDEO - MMC for community safety Marais Kruger, spoke to George Herald at 04:00 this morning about the amazing volunteers who have been helping at the scene of George's biggest disaster since early yesterday afternoon when a building under construction collapsed at 14:09.
According to George Municipality, 24 people have been extracted from the rubble.
Emergency personnel from the City of Cape Town and Breede Valley Local Municipality have joined the emergency and disaster personnel on site and continue the search for the 51 unaccounted persons trapped.
