GEORGE NEWS - With the upcoming local government elections only 10 days away, most of the parties are currently hard at work campaigning.
The African People's Convention (APC) president, Themba Godi, visited Zone 9 (Ward 12) in Thembalethu yesterday, Thursday 21 October.
Godi said that working hand in hand with people is very important so that one can understand their problems.
"Everything must start with the people. Municipalities must bring back service delivery and create more jobs for African people and build houses." He urged APC members to go out and campaign for more votes, as the APC needs more support.
"In Thembalethu we need change," he said. "People have been struggling for many years voting for a better life. "For 27 years we have been crying for a better life, but our voters kept on voting for wrong parties that are not working for them. I trust George will come out in their numbers on 1 November and vote for APC."
