GEORGE NEWS - The high-spirited performance given by the Show Choir Rise Up energised the children of Life Community Services on Friday 13 July in Rosemoor. The Belgian choir, that won two gold medals in the recent World Choir Games - in the Female Choirs and Scenic Pop / Show Choirs categories - set the marquee tent on fire with Shosholoza and the child audience joined in enthusiastically.

Choir director Ann Vanduffel said on Friday, "Our girls have enjoyed every single minute of the WCG and look forward to touring the Garden Route and giving a performance in Hartenbos". South Cape Children's Choir (SCCC) manager Mimi Haasbroek and the choir's director, Jan-Erik Swart, facilitated the Belgian choir's tour in the Garden Route and Cape Town. They also accompanied them to the various venues.
The SCCC is performing tonight, 19 July, at the St Mark's Cathedral at 19:30 together with the US choir Atlanta Young Singers, who also participated in the WCG.
