GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - Gale force winds that have been dominating the coastal areas since early this morning, have resulted in trees blowing over in the Outeniqua Pass, Robertson Pass, Saasveld Road and the Herbertsdale area.
All areas are currently being attended to by local fire services and all roads are open for traffic.
According to the district’s disaster manager, Gerhard Otto, the storm is expected to surge at approximately 20:00 tonight and rough and high seas with water above the normal high water mark can be expected.
