GEORGE NEWS - Acting Director of Electrotechnical Services Paul Gerber passed away yesterday afternoon, 19 August, following a heart attack.
Mayor Leon van Wyk described Gerber as a gently spoken, genuine man who was committed to his work and family. “He will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by his passing,” said Van Wyk, on behalf of the George Council.
Charles Lubbe, Acting Municipal Manager, expressed his deepest condolences on behalf of the municipality and its officials to Gerber’s wife and three children, his friends and his colleagues.
