GEORGE NEWS - "Explosions" heard in the vicinity of Blue Mountain Village late Saturday evening, 23 July, had some nearby residents express concern on social media.
According to a Blue Mountain resident they heard "two loud bangs with sirens sounding" after having gone to bed.
Concern about the explosions was also raised on the internal Blue Mountain WhatsApp group.
Residents in Kraaibosch and Loerie Park as well as near the Garden Route Dam commented that they had heard gunshots.
Southern Cape police spokesperson Capt Malcolm Pojie said the George and Conville police stations had not received any reports of explosions or gun shots.
