GEORGE NEWS - Two vehicles were involved in two seperate car accidents on the Outeniqua Pass this morning.
The first accident took place at approximately 07:10 when the driver of a car driving from Oudtshoorn to George lost control after apparently swerving to avoid an animal crossing the road.
The car came to a standstill on the side of the road. No injuries were reported and the driver could continue his trip.
About an hour later, at approximately 08:15, the driver of a VW vehicle driving from George to Oudtshoorn also lost control of his vehicle and collided with the mountain.
Metro Ambulance Services transported the driver and his 4 passengers, all with minor injuries, to hospital.
Motorists are warned to drive with extreme caution when the pass is wet.
The driver apparently swerved to avoid an animal and lost control of his vehicle.
