GEORGE NEWS - Africa Day was celebrated in style at the Nelson Mandela University George Campus. Alet van Tonder, the communications director, said more than 150 staff and students dressed in a variety of traditional, modern and everyday outfits gathered at the student recreation centre to share a fun-filled afternoon enhanced by a selection of traditional food.
Live music was supplied by the well-known local band, GMinor, and student DJs provided additional music.
Motivational speaker, former human rights activist and educator George van Niekerk gave a thought-provoking message.
