GEORGE NEWS - The Furntech building at the Nelson Mandela University George Campus was abuzz at the weekend with the university hosting its annual Open Day event on 17 and 18 March.
According to the campus communications head, Milisa Piko, the two exhibitions saw over 1 700 learners from the Garden Route District participate. Schools from as far as Beaufort West, Knysna, Mosel Bay, Plettenberg Bay and Concordia (in the Knysna municipal area) attended.
Learners were keen for more information and crowded the exhibitions of the different departments of the George and Gqeberha campuses.
Piko said more than 40 academic and support departments exhibited. "The response from the Southern Cape has been amazing."
