Update
GEORGE NEWS - The much-anticipated Local Brand Festival, which was set to take place at Loxton Lounge Truns in Thembalethu tomorrow, Saturday 28 October, has been postponed to 25 November.
The organiser of the event, Walter Blaq of Blacksheep Network, said the decision was not made lightly, but with careful consideration of many factors, including safety and security and the enjoyment of the festival.
The Local Brand Festival is a celebration of George's vibrant local brands, entrepreneurship and the community spirit. The announcement of the festival was met with overwhelming enthusiasm and interest.
In light of this, the organising team decided to take extra time to enhance the festival experience and accommodate more local brands to ensure that the event will be a great success.
“The organising committee extends its sincere appreciation to all sponsors, local businesses, partners and attendees for their unwavering support and understanding,” Blaq said. “We are committed to deliver an extraordinary, powerful event that not only showcases the best of George, but also fosters local growth and community engagement. We can't wait to see you there.”
Announcements will be made to keep the public informed of changed arrangements.
