GEORGE NEWS - Jonga High School in Thembalethu honoured their top learners at an awards ceremony on Monday afternoon, 14 November in the school hall.
Apart from academic excellence, learners were also honoured for other skills, characteristics and talents.
These included a leadership award, perseverance award, neatness and cleanliness award and a sport award.
George Herald attended the ceremony and took photographs of the top learners for 2022.
Sisipho Ntsokota (grade 11) went home with seven certificates for mathematics, physical science, computer application technology (CAT), life science, Isixhosa, life orientation and English.
Kamva Dyantyi, also in grade 11, collected seven certificates as well for excelling in Isixhosa, English, life orientation, mathematics, life science, physical science and CAT.

Ndabambi Okuhle obtained a neatness and cleanliness award, while Simama Liyahluma took the perseverance award. Sobhuza Anelisa received the leardership award, and the school’s u19 soccer team received a prize for representing the Eden Region in the Western Cape in the Kay Motsepe u.19 schools cup for the first time.
Well done to each and every one of these learners for their dedications and outstanding performance!
