GEORGE NEWS - The George Junior City Council (JCC) painted and repaired plugs at one of Thembalethu's crèches, Thandi's Babycare in Zone 2, Ward 13 as part of their project for the upliftment of George's communities.
The project formed part of the JCC's Women's Month outreach. Learners raised funds for the paint and brushes by selling Women's Day ribbons and will use the extra money to fund future projects.
"To all the women, we see you, we appreciate you and we love you. You are stronger than you think. Thank you for making the world a better place and for being you," said the mayor of the JCC, Ruan Coetzee.
