GEORGE NEWS - Supporters of the beautiful game will soon be able to again indulge their passion as the Safa Eden Hollywoodbets Regional League and the Western Cape ABC Motsepe League return to the field this coming weekend after the festive season break.
The Safa Eden Region president, Siya Chris Tyhawana, told George Herald that the Christmas break offered teams a chance to relax and regroup.
He said that the regional league teams have started their training and some played friendly games in preparation of the recommencement of the regional league and the ABC Motsepe league.
He wished Oriented Birds, the only team from the Garden Route that plays in the ABC Motsepe Provincial League, good luck with their first league game in 2024.
Oriented Birds will be facing the Cape Town Region team Grassy Park United at home in Kwanokuthula Stadium in Plettenberg Bay.
