GEORGE NEWS - While raging wildfires were keeping various firefighting teams busy throughout the weekend and into this week, people of George gathered in support of these brave men and women.
On Sunday evening, Graig Anderson and his team from Landy World dropped off 200 McDonald's burgers and 10 Romans pizzas for approximately 200 firefighters who needed supper.
"The request for food for the firefighters came in from Eden Lions, Pieter Nel and Carl van Blerk. Tavcor and Town Lodge also assisted me in dropping off loads of Powerade and water," Anderson said.
Craig Anderson and his team from Landy World delivered supper to the firefighters.
