GEORGE NEWS - A weekend for young and old filled with live music performances and motivational talks will be held in Pacaltsdorp from Friday to Sunday, 14 to 16 June.

Stephen de Klerk, founder of the Excellent Youth Empowerment (EYE) organisation, says the weekend's theme is 'Activate the youth inside of you'.

"We invite people from all over to join us for an uplifting and fun weekend," says De Klerk. It will take place at the amphitheatre, and in case of bad weather, in the Pacaltsdorp Civic Centre.

The weekend kicks off on Friday evening with a fellowship and social evening from 18:00 to about 21:00. Snacks will be available.

On Saturday morning, gates open at 09:00. There will be jumping castles, stalls and various games and activities offered by churches in Pacaltsdorp. Boerewors rolls will be handed out from 12:00 to 13:00. 

After lunch, a number of speakers and music artists will be on stage till 17:00 and the day will be concluded with a jazz evening with Melody Six and the Excellent Youth Empowerment band from 19:00 till 22:00.

A gospel bash, 'Activate the Youth Inside of You with Jesus', will take place from 09:00 till 14:00 on Sunday morning and from 17:00, the weekend is concluded with a jazz evening.

De Klerk, Yamkela Yammy from Sisterhood 411 from Cape town and Tremaine Barnez, alias Kaalvoet Prinses, fom Kimberley are the guest speakers.
