This occasion was part of the 67 minutes initiative in contribution of Madiba Day. Twelve of the health practitioners of EDM dedicated their time to the physically challenged children.
The lively youngsters had lunch at Wimpy, which included a burger and chips. Everyone also indulged in chocolate and ice-cream, generously sponsored by Wimpy.
Gaby Peters from Word 4 Word Publication in the Garden Route Mall also contributed R720 for refreshments.
The Garden Route Mall management assisted in obtaining Gaby Peters’ involvement in the project. The Mall Kids Club’s Captain Otto provided the children with treats such as sweet packs and toys.
The staff and management of Municipal Health Services contributed R70 to each of the children who were excited and overwhelmed to receive a financial contribution.
After their meal at Wimpy, a walk around the mall was a wonderful opportunity to spend special time with the children and sharing a laugh.
For some of these youngsters it was a first visit to the mall and therefore a memorable day.
