GEORGE NEWS - Palms Garden Square in Wilderness invites artists to enter its "In the clouds" art challenge on Friday 26 March, to celebrate the creativity inspired by clouds.
Bring your best cloud-themed artwork and stand a chance to win great prizes! Submissions will be accepted at Palms Garden Square and labelling and registration of artwork will be done from 09:00 till 10:00. Judging will take place in the afternoon.
The winners will be announced the following week.
Prizes are as follows: 1st prize R1 000, 2nd prize R500 plus a R250 Art Savings Club gift voucher, and 3rd prize R250 Art Savings Club gift voucher plus a wooden table-top easel.
The organisers thank the sponsors, Art Savings Club, Kenny McDonald, Sea-act Shipping, Callie Henn (Hanekom Houtwerk) and Cabesa Gallery, as well as the judges, Irma de Waal, Hein Botha, Kala Combrink, Zanne Small, Debbie Matteus and Marnitz Steyn, for their contribution to the project.
So beautiful... These two submissions for the "In the Clouds" Art Challenge are being sent from Cape Town. The artists are Jodie and Ryan Loubser.
Admission for WAA members is free. Please decide on a price for your painting if it is for sale.
Artists must provide their own easel for the judging on 26 March. 20% commission on sales go to Cabesa Gallery.

The top 20 finalists' work will be exhibited in the upstairs dining room (almost in the clouds!) of The Views Boutique Hotel from 27 March to 27 April.
