GEORGE NEWS - The police are looking for a male suspect after a woman (81) was attacked in her home during a robbery earlier today, Monday 25 January, in Stander Street.
According to George police's communication officer, Capt Nolonwabo Tshengu, it is alleged that the suspect gained access by forcing open a garage door before attacking the victim.
"He fled the scene with a brown handbag and an ostrich leather purse. The bag was later discovered at the back of the house," she said.
The victim was taken to hospital. The extent of her injuries has not yet been confirmed.
According to Tshengu the suspect was wearing a blue denim with a blue long-sleeved shirt and a black hat.
