GEORGE NEWS & VIDEO - On Monday afternoon, 9 December, five unknown men attempted to rob the shop at the Sasol garage in Nelson Mandela Boulevard.
According to George communications officer, Capt Nolonwabo Tshengu, the five suspects were driving in a white Ford Fiesta with a CBS (Mossel Bay) registration number.
CCTV footage shows four walking into the shop. "It is alleged that the suspects forced the owner to open his office while threatning him with a firearm. The owner refused and the suspects fled the scene with no success," she said.
No arrests made and the police are appealing to the community to come forward with any information that might help them. Anyone with information is welcom to phone Dectective Captain Van der Berg on 044 803 4714.
