GEORGE NEWSFLASH - A young couple from George became the latest victims of an armed robbery at Victoria Bay last night, 6 July.
According to Nikita Collins (18), they were sitting on the beach at 23:45 when they were approached by two men.
"At first I thought it was a security guard, but I soon realized it wasn't," she said.
According to Collins the suspects initially demanded money. "We gave them what we had and the one guy said 'this isn't enough for Tik'. They then took our phones while holding a panga to my throat and a sickle to my friend's threatening to kill us."
The suspects fled the scene by foot.
One of the suspects was dressed in a red long sleeved top and denims. The other was wearing a grey beanie, grey top and denims.
