GEORGE NEWS - All of the beaches in the George area, including Gwaing Beach, Victoria Bay, Herold’s Bay, Wilderness and Leentjiesklip, remain closed following the storm surges of this past weekend.
Heavy construction vehicles continue to move around in or near the beaches and beach infrastructure such as benches, walkways etc have been removed.
Swimming is not advisable as Lifeguards are not present on any of the beaches and there is a serious concern around the presence of debris in the water.
