GEORGE NEWSFLASH - Another accident took place at 07:45 this morning at the infamous George Airport intersection.
Eye-witness Deidré Botha, who stays near the intersection, was returning home and had to swerve to avoid becoming part of the accident.
“A black Honda travelling from the airport in the direction of Blanco, I think, stopped at the stop street, and then just drove across the busy R102 in front of an oncoming car travelling in the direction of George from Great Brak River.
"I assume the driver never saw the oncoming vehicles.”
Ambulance and emergency personnel are on the scene. Six of the accident victims have been taken to hospital due to light injuries.
* Bianca Carls, spokesperson for the Western Cape Health department, has confirmed that six patients were admitted to George Hospital after being involved in the car accident at the airport intersection this morning. Carls said all patients are in a stable condition.
